To register for the ACT you will need to register online at myact.org

Kingman High Schools Code is: 171-590

The current fees for taking the test are $52.00 or $68.00 including the writing portion. You do not have to opt for the writing portion. The late registration fee is $30.00.

Tests are taken in December, April or June are available for the TIR, Test Information Release (you will receive your test questions how you answered and what the right answer was), for an additional fee of $20.00-$25.00.

When you go take your test you MUST have your registration ticket, a photo ID, two pencils and a calculator. If you show up after 8:00 am sharp, you may not be allowed in to take the test, so make sure you are early when you go. Don't be late. 

Students who think they will be playing sports in college/community college will need to have their ACT scores sent to NAIA or NCAA. Students should enter the appropriate codes in the area where ACT asks where scores should be sent.

There are many other ways to get ready to take the ACT. Check out Chad Cargill's website and maybe see if you can go see him. http://www.chadcargill.com/ He's great and has tons of tips on how to take the test. He also has services for programing your graphing calculator with the equations you can have in it during the test.

WSU offers an ACT prep workshop on the weekends throughout the year. It costs $32.00. They cover general test-taking tips and information for all four sections of the test. Students should bring a pencil and a graphing calculator; all other supplies are provided, including refreshments. Kaplan also offers free online test prep. Sessions are time-specific. You can find it at: Kaplan ACT Test Prep

Understanding ACT Scores:

Start by checking out the ACT explanation page at: http://www.actstudent.org/scores/understand/ When you click on the link, scroll down to a listing of informational links just below the box that tells you about Upcoming Test Dates. Look for the list of links under the word “Score” (this is small right under the box). Then click on the “Understanding your Scores” and that should take you to another page with all kinds of clickable links to documents regarding ACT scores.
