To be eligible for participation in Kansas State High School Activities Association sponsored activities a student must:
Be a bona fide student in good standing
Pass at least five new subjects (those not previously passed) during the last semester of attendance
Be enrolled and attending a minimum of five new subjects during the present semester
Have a KSHSAA physical exam and parental consent form on file prior to the first practice
Refrain from engaging in outside competition in the same sport during a season in which he/she is representing the school

There are graduation requirements to be eligible to compete at the National Junior College level. Students must also be enrolled as a full-time college student (12+ hours).

To determine your full eligibility, discuss your situation with the athletic personnel at the NJCAA college you plan to attend.
To be eligible to compete for an NAIA school, students must meet 2 of the 3 requirements:
Minimum of 18 on the ACT
Minimum 2.0 GPA
Graduate in the top half of your high school class

For Division III or Undecided athletes, students can create a profile page for free. This opens communication with NCAA and students can transition the account for certification at any time for Division I or II.
When should I create a profile page? Anytime in high school; the earlier the better!
To be eligible to compete for an NCAA Division I or Division II school, students must certify with the NCAA, complete 16 core academic courses in high school with a minimum GPA of 2.3 and meet a sliding scale ACT or SAT score. Core courses include English, math, science, social studies and foreign language classes only.
